Comments: Schwab (Nee: ) | MI United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: Un-mailed postcard manufactured by Velox with 4 diamonds in the corners of the stamp box. The back of the card is divided so this card was produced between 1907 – 1914. The hand written message on the back reads “ From Richard Schwab. Thanksgiving dinner” and is addressed to Sophia Schultz in Detroit, Michigan. Sophia was married in 1910 changing her last name to Schnell so we can further reduce the time line of this photo from 1907 – 1909. Caroline Schultz, one of Sophia’s sisters, married into the Schwab family in 1890 but her husband’s name is listed as Johann Georg Schwab. Their son, born about 1898, was named Richard but would have been far too young at the time to be the man pictured here.
