"Original WW2 (1940-dated) photo, taken in Glasgow, Scotland, showing two young sailors of the Royal Canadian Navy, from the destroyer HMCS Ottawa. Black and white photo measures 5.1 invhes by 3.1 inches; reverse has rubberstamp of studio, and the names of the men (in ballpoint pen): "HMCS Ottawa Art Hicks & Aleck Croft Glasgow, 1940." You can see the "HMCS Ottawa" cap tally on the man on the right--the other, bearded matelot has a wartime "HMC DESTROYER" tally on his hat. "Ottawa" was torpedoed 14 September, 1942, by U-91, and sank with 114 casualties."
