Gibson who is the photographer eventually went on to become the official portrait photographer at the Chicago Worlds Fair of 1893. His Bay City studio was his first and dates from about 1872. He eventually moved to several other locations before settling down in Ann Arbor Michigan in the mid-1880s then eventually on to the Chicago for the exposition. He and his wife then stayed in Chicago opening a very fancy portrait studio. Unfortunately he died a relatively young man in his early 50s of T.B. His wife lived in Chicago till 1946.
