Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Farmer and dog (Nee: ) | | 1921-1940 | Comments: Mystery farmer and his dog, perhaps a Newfoundland. The only clue I have is the photographer’s stamp on the back: “Edwin C. Udey. 209 Auburn St., Ithaca, N.Y.” The late Mr. Udey lived in Ithaca while attending Cornell University and helped pay his way as a photographer. The address was his home address and he did not actually have a studio there. He did not remain in Ithaca but spent the rest of his life traveling the world as an excellent government (WWII) and professional freelance photographer. Possible relevant surnames may include: Barca, Baumgardner, Beer, Cormeny, Cummings, Curtright, Helwig, Human, Logan, Lytle, Perrine, Simmons, Weaver, Webster and Wyvel. If you recognize the man in this photo, we would love to hear from you. If you contact me, please refer to my file number for this photo: CD05,Sec2-08 Thank you.
