Comments: Faye Parkhurst (Nee: Parkhurst) | Hamburg IA United States | | Comments: I have two old studio photographs belonging to the PARKHURST Family in Iowa. The first is a photograph of Fay PARKHURST born 15 Feb 1895. The photograph was taken on the 19th of April, with no year identified, however I'm guess it was 1895 since Fay is less than one year old at the time.
The second photograph is identified as Harry Bruner PARKHURST born 22 Jun 1889 and notes that it was taken 17 Aug 1889. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family:
Faye PARKHURST was b. 16 Feb 1895 in Hamburg, IA to parents William Rowland PARKHURST (1861-1904) and Louisa “Lou” Augusta RUSH or RASCH (1862-1948). Faye died 3 Mar 1917 in Hamburg, IA and is buried in the Hamburg Cemetery in that city. Faye’s parents had one other child, a baby boy born and died in 1884.
Harry Bruner PARKHURST was b. 22 Jun 1889 in Hamburg, IA to parents John Colfax PARKHURST (1868-1951) and Ella BRUNER (1870-1942). Harry had two brothers, Archibald B. PARKHURST (1900-1978) and Leo Charles PARKHURST (1909-1998). Harry appears to have married twice, first to Cora H. REISSMANN (1889-1960) on 16 Aug 1910 in St. Joseph, MI and they had two children including Margaret P. or E. J. PARKHURST (1911-1996) and Maurille John PARKHURST (1917-1995).
Harry’s second marriage was to Lucile or Lucille Margaret HOLLE (1897-1962) who he married on 11 Oct 1924 in Los Angeles, CA. Harry died 6 Jul 1962 in Orange County, CA and is buried in the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, CA.
