Comments: Sarah Lamb (Nee: Ashworth) | Worcester MA United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of Sarah ASHWORTH LAMB and her son Howard LAMB which was taken at the Fitton Studio in Worcester, MA. The photo appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Sarah appearing to be in her 30's and Howard likely about 4 years old. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family and the photograph:
Sarah ASHWORTH was b. 6 Apr 1874 in Worcester, MA to parents Thomas ASHWORTH (1844-1885) and Hannah HOWARD (1841-1933). Sarah was one of 11 children born to this couple including Charles Richard; Robert; James; Mary; Martha; Sarah; Betsy; George; Thomas E.; Henry; and Robert Edwin ASHWORTH, all born between 1864 and 1885.
Sarah married Edward Austin LAMB (1873-1956) on 25 Jun 1896 in Leicester, MA and they had two children including Howard Ashworth LAMB (b. 1897) and Anna May LAMB (b. 1903). Sarah died 25 Jan 1946 in Worcester, MA and is buried in the Hope Cemetery in Worcester, MA.
Howard Ashworth LAMB was b. 28 Aug 1897 in Leicester-Cherry Valley, MA to Edward Austin LAMB and Sarah ASHWORTH noted above. Howard married Irine KEARNS (b. 1898) and they had one daughter. Howard was also married to Mabel F. LAMB (b. 1908). Howard died on 2 Sept 1951 in North Adams, MA and is buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Auburn, MA.
