Comments: Johanna Amalia Juliana Schultz (Nee: Bruegel/Pruegel) | MI United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: This is an un-mailed postcard manufactured by AZO with four triangles in the corners of the stamp box. AZO used that design from 1904 – 1918. The back of the card is divided which means it couldn’t have been manufactured earlier than 1907. The back of the card has some writing in German which I cannot translate but also included this English message “We all wish a very happy New Year. Mr. and Mrs and family Martin Schultz” The card is addressed to Mrs. Fred Schnell. The woman in the picture is Johanna Amalia Juliana (Bruegel/Pruegel) Schultz holding one of her granddaughters. Martin and Christina (Ranzenberger) Schultz had five children but only three daughters that would fit in the manufacturing time frame of this postcard. They are Erna (born February 1, 1907), Charlotte (born March 13, 1909) and Hilda (born August 21, 1912).
