Comments: Mary Knight (Nee: ) | | 1851-1900 | Comments: A Negro in a prominent white family album indicates that this woman was of some significance. The only Negro woman with this name was the Mary Knight, aka Margaret E. Knight, the one and only woman who invented the machine to fold and glue paper bags that we use to this day in stores across America. Is this the same Mrs. Knight? Im not sure, but gut says yes,......any help in confirming this would be appreciated greatly.
