Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

We need your help. 90% of our expenses are covered by donations averaging $10, though not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, we would have enough to operate DeadFred for a year. That's right, the price of a bottle of soda would do it. If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Richard Doddridge Blackmore (Nee: ) | Teddington England | 1851-1900 | Comments: This portrait of Mr. Richard Doddridge Blackmore appears on page 207 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.23, no.5, May 1900. There is a nice memorial to him on pages 207-208 of that volume. See that reference for more details. Blackmore was born 7 June 1825 and died 20 January 1900. He lived in Teddinton, Middlesex, England. He was a novelist and a horticulturist. One of his more famous works was "Lorna Doone." There are many websites containing additional information on him. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Doddridge_Blackmore). That is all the information I have on him. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
