Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Charles E. Brown (Nee: ) | Milton Canada | 1901-1920 | Comments: This portrait of Charles E. Brown appears on page 165 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.23, no.4, April, 1900. There is a nice full page memorial to him there. See that reference for more details. He was the son of the Hon. Stayley Brown, M. L. C. He graduated from Harvard in Massachusetts. For some years he operated a store, then he retired and devoted himself to agriculture and horticulture. He was a life member of the Ontario Fruit Growers' Association and a director of the Nova Scotia Fruit Growers' Association. He lived in Yarmouth and in Milton in Canada. He died suddenly on 17 February 1900. That is all the information I have on him. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
