Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

We need your help. 90% of our expenses are covered by donations averaging $10, though not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, we would have enough to operate DeadFred for a year. That's right, the price of a bottle of soda would do it. If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Spencer A. Beach (Nee: ) | Geneva NY United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: This portrait of Mr. Spencer A. Beach appears on page 100 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XXII, no.3, March, 1899. See that reference for more details. He worked as a horticulturist at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, New York from 1891 to 1905. He was lead author on the monumental book "Apples of New York" which is still regarded with much esteem today. He went on to a position as Chair of Horticulture at Iowa Agricultural College. That is all the information I have on him.
