Comments: John II Sterrett Parker (Nee: ) | Scottdale PA United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: My great, great grandfather; merchant and banker. In February, 1869, he and his brother-in-law, James B. Smith, opened a store in Scottdale, then known as Fountain Mills. In 1881 Mr. Smith withdrew and S. B. McMillen and George C. Parker became members of the firm. In 1884, Mr. McMillen retired and the firm was changed to J. S. Parker & Bro. and remained so until 1896 when it was changed to J. S. Parker & Co.
