Monroe, Geneva, New York, 1912. See that title for more information. Dr. Amos Bird Smith was born at Hector, NY in 1819. His parents were Caleb and Lucy Peck Smith. In 1845 he graduated from old Geneva Medical College in Geneva, NY. In 1847 he married Jane M. Hughes of Elmira, NY (died in 1881). In 1854 he opened the Hygienic Institute for the Scientific Treatment of Disease in Geneva. Dr. Smith died in 1894.
