Comments: Wellington Boulter (Nee: ) | Canada | 1851-1900 | Comments: This portrait of Mr. Wellington Boulter appears on page 311 in The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XVI, no.9, 1893. There is a biographical sketch of him on pages 310-311 of that volume. He was born in the Township of Sophiasburg, Prince Edward County, Canada on 14 February 1838. His father was George Boulter. Wellington became very involved in fruit growing and horticulture. He started the first canning factory in Eastern Ontario at Picton in 1882.
