Katy married Henry Davidson of Teges, Clay County, Ky and had 8 children. Mary Catherine "Katy" Roark is believed to be her true birth name although it has been questioned many times by all of the family. She used many variations such as Kate Hamilton, Katie Hamilton, Kate Spurlock, Katie Spurlock, Kate Roark and also Catherine Rose on her childrens birth records. Katy's mothers name was Adeline Roark and Adeline listed herself as age 50 and a widow on the 1910 U.S. Federal Census in Clay County, Katy was 16. Katy's grandparents names are Barnabus Roark born Abt. 1817 in Kentucky, and died Aft. 1880 and wife Nancy Hollingsworth born June 6,1815 in Clay County, KY, and died Feb 6, 1878 in Clay County, Ky. After the death of Katy's first husband Henry Davidson in 1929, Katy married Elmer J. Webb and they lived in Laurel County, Ky. This photo was taken at Katy's home in Hazel Green, Laurel County, Ky about 1940.
