He was the first born son of Leonard and Elizabeth C. [nee Fox] Bahr of Elizabeth Ave. in Lansdowne. Maurice was an excellent car mechanic and tool maker. He married Dorothy M. Sieck. Maurice wrote an "I Remember" article for the Sunpapers, giving the early history of his parents home and neighborhood in the Joshua Section of Lansdowne. He is buried in Meadowridge Cemetery.
