Comments: Johan / John Johansson (Nee: ) | Grand Rapids MI United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: Johan Johansson (John Johnson), a twin of Carl Johansson (Charles Johnson), was b. 23 June 1856, in Alster Parish, Varmland, Sweden. He and his twin emigrated about 1886 to Grand Rapids, Kent, MI. They Americanized their names. John Johnson married Josie in MI and had several children. Family oral history says that authorities removed three children from the home because the parents were heavy drinkers. When the parents could not get the children back, they were said to have moved to CA. No further contact known. See Carl Johansson / Charles Johnson (twin)photo. I'd love to find out what happened to John Johnson and wife Josie. Anyone recogize the photo?
