Comments: Martin Stemen (Nee: ) | Delphos OH United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: Lima News, Lima, OH Thursday, Sept 6, 1956 pg. 6 Martin Stemen, 89, of Route 2, Fort Jennings died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home after a lenghty illness. Born June 11, 1867, in Hocking County, he married Emma Robinson Feb. 4, 1892, and she survives. Mr. Stemen was a menber of the Rushmore Methodist Church and Leatherwood Grange at Rimer. He was a retired farmer. Also surviving are two sons, Elmer Stemen of Route 2, Fort Jennings, and Willis of Tampa, Fla., one daughter, Mrs. John Young of Vaughnsville; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildre. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Harter and Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos with the Rev. Raymond Daniels officiating. Burial will be made in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
