Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Edward Charles Sleichter (Nee: ) | Ca USA | | Comments: Bressler photo of 3 men: my aunt Nana's ancestry, of Indianna see TEETER KIN ::Nicholas Bresler age 65, of PA per 1860 Centre Co PA married Mary and had: Dan, JOhn, Nick, Fred, Sally, and John. ::Daniel Bresler b 1825 per 1870 at St Joseph Co IN Penn Twp married Rebecca and had: Albert, Katie, Eliz, William, George, Frank, Abraham, and John. :: ALBERT BRESLER 12/7/1857-3/2/1903 (d at Barr Oake, crushed by rolling trains) married RACHEL BRESSLER 11/16/1861-7/19/1948 Crawford Co IN. Per 1900 at Allen Co IN Waynestown. Ch: Nana and Fred. Note: I find an Albert Bresler who died in 1923! Continuing with Albert and Rachel Bresler and their 2 ch: (1) Fred Bresler married Jessie Bittner and had twins: Leonard and Lawrence. (2) *Nana Lois Bresler 1888 IN 1956 CA married firstly to Henry Leo Biddlecome b 1884 at Kalamazoo MI, d 1954 Rome NY, buried Lee NY. He worked for a wire mill and Fannie Farmer candies. Henry had two brothers: Theodore b 4/23/1894 and Ralph. Nana Bresler and Henry married and divorced; both remarried. See Clinton E Black 1886-1973 also first married who remarried after death of first wife, Ophelia, in 1929 to *Nana L Bresler Biddlecome. Henry Leo Biddlecome remarried 1929 Bertha E McCale of Rome (her 3rd mrg). Bertha was first married 1/30/1874 in Hartford City IN to Abner Hart and secondly to George Crance. Henry Biddlecome's parents were John A Biddlecome 6/14/1847-10/13/1925 Adam Co IN who married in 1883 Louisa Cline 1/19/1857-5/14/1918, buried Monroeville IN. Louise (Cline) Biddlecome's father was from W VA; her mother from OH. NOTE: *Nana Bresler Biddlecome (had 2 sons, Harry L and Robert) remarried 1929 Clinton Ellsworth Black 1886 OH 1973 CA and had little Nana L Black (now Mrs J. Hughs). Pic appears to be of at least one or more Bressler men and one appears to be Ed (Chas) Sleichter born 1872 of Ohio who went to Calif and married a Minnie and had son, Roy. Ed was a brakeman for the railroad as well as Albert Bresler and Frank Black was conductor (he father of Clint Black). The Breslers lived in IN and CA and Ed Sleichter, a railroad brakeman, lived at San Joquam (sp) CA while Frank Black, railroad conductor, lived at Fresno CA, later some of these famiies are at San Diego. See my pic of Ed for comparison:
