Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

We need your help. 90% of our expenses are covered by donations averaging $10, though not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, we would have enough to operate DeadFred for a year. That's right, the price of a bottle of soda would do it. If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

This photo was in an album that was in terrible condition so I removed it from the album. He was identified on the album page as, “John Moore” and I’ve written this name on the back in pencil. Photo was taken by D.R. Clark at the Premium Art Gallery in Lafayette, Indiana, ca. 1865-66. There used to be a tax stamp on the back but it is long gone."
