Walter was married in 1873 to Elander Lucinda White in Etowah Co. AL. Walter was a veteran of the Civil War serving in Co. B of the 5th AL Infantry. This unit was also known as the Calhoun Co. Sharp Shooters. The unit was present at Appomattox for the Surrender. Walter McFry died in 1934 and is buried in Carmel Cemetery near Spring Garden, AL. ----------- Archive Note: 7/20/2005 Found!
