Comments: Simon Couch (Nee: ) | | 1851-1900 | Comments: Digital Image only taken off of ebay 17 minutes before the auction closed /// This is a CDV photo of an old, distinguished looking man. He is identified on the back as, “Simon Couch.” Photo was taken sometime between 1864-65. There used to be a tax stamp on the back but it was missing when I got the photo. Dark stain along right side of image and mount, but this does not obscure the picture. Image a bit light, however details can still be seen. No bends or tears. Not cut down. The photographer and location is not identified. The Couch family were very early settlers in Connecticut and this could be where the photo is from
