Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: children Hurlock (Nee: Bergner) | Harrisburg PA US | 1901-1920 | Comments: These are the three children of William Spry Turner Hurlock, a dentist in Harrisburg and his wife, Catharine Bergner. They are, left to right: Dorothy Catharine, William S. T., Jr., and Elizabeth. Since Dorothy was born in 1900, I would put the date of the photo at about 1906. I do not see a photo studio name, but there is a signature, in penceil, on the front, that begins with a K. Their father, born in Maryland, had come to Pennsylvania for his higher education, and set up a dental practice in Harrisburg. How he and Catharine met, I do not know, but his sister Eugenia Hurlock wrote that he retired soon after marrying the heiress, stating "for what reason, I do not know".
