Comments: Cyrus McCorkle (Nee: Younker) | Sydney OH US | 1851-1900 | Comments: This is really a sketch, possibly with charcoal or pencil, of Cyrus McCorkle and his young wife (maybe his bride) Mary Elizabeth Younker. Both had lived in Dauphin County, PA, and Mary's family moved to Shelby County before Cyrus and a brother set out for Ohio, too, where land was said to be plenty for anyone who wanted to farm. They were married there in 1877, raising a family of four boys and one girl. Their descendants are still well-known in the area.
