Comments: Elizabeth Uhler Bergner (Nee: Uhler) | Harrisburg PA Dauphin | | Comments: Elizabeth Uhler, the granddaughter of a Revolutionary War soldier, John Martin Uhler, was the second wife of Harrisburg Telegraph (newspaper) owner, George Bergner. He was previously married to her sister Catharine, who died soon after the birth of their third child. Following this second marriage to Elizabeth, the couple had a child of their own, named Catharine, who, upon his death at age 56 in 1874, left her a great deal of his estate, making her one of the richest young woman at her time.
