Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: MOORE (Nee: ) | | | Comments: USED WITH KIND PERMISSION FROM GENEROUS AND THOUGHTFUL OWNER. The only identification is on the back of one where he s writing to his daughter "Miss M. Estille Moore, 212 Hamilton St, Ypsilanti, Mich." and he signs it "Papa." He also addresses her as "Stella." Apparently he d been seeing Dr. Holland and was t sure what the report would be. On the other card he mentions he d gained 4 lbs. The cards were made by Dreamland, Fifth Ave., Pittsburg, PA**. Is that where Mr. Moore lived? According to research of the stamp box on one photo, the date the card was made was 1907-1915. Since his daugther was listed as "Miss" and not "Mrs.," was she in school in Ypsilanti? Working there? We may never know for sure. **Note: the spelling of Pittsburg could be an additional clue as to the date of these photos. While the city was named "Pittsburg" from 1890 to 1911 following a declaration by the United States Board on Geographic Names, the "Pittsburgh" spelling was officially restored after a public campaign by the citizens of the city.
