Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: DANIEL GINNANE (Nee: ) | CARRIGAHOLT IRELAND | 1921-1940 | Comments: These 4 Irish men were born c.1888-1892 near Carrigaholt Village in southwest Co.Clare, -- probably photographed in or near Kilrush town, Clare, -- about 1920-1930 ? I suspect that they were ALL policemen in the " SMP " at the Shanghai International Enclave, China. One is bachelor Dan Guinane / Daniel Guinnane / Daniel Ginnane (Sept 24th 1890-1943) who served there 1912-1936, but returned home for holidays. He was my grandfathers 1st-cousin. Another was probably married : Tony Dwyer / Anthony ODwyer who died in Shanghai 1933. Another may be a FOLEY. All may be relatives of mine. I would like to identify ^who is who^, please? Prof. Robert Bickers has a database on those SMP Police, based at Bristol University.
