It is known that John Eddy lived first in Ishpeming, then in Marquette. He was asst light keeper at Isle Royal, Lake Superior, then appointed light keeper of Raspberry Island in 1895, also on Lake Superior. He died suddenly of heart attack Jan 1900, age 41.
