Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Washington Heber Kimball jr. (Nee: ) | Ogden UT United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: Washington Heber Kimball Jr., born 17 Apr 1888 in Logan, Cache, Utah, was my great uncle. He joined the navy or merchant marines around 1902 or 1906. The last time his mother Mary Francis Kimball heard from him was in a letter dated 1910 from Cleveland, Ohio. In his letter he states that he was riding around the country on the rails, and stopping in towns along the way to work for a short time. We don't know if he died at age 22-23 or if he just never went back home to Ogden, Utah and settled somewhere and raised a family. He is in the 1900 US census, but not the 1910. His mother seems to think he went AWOL and was trying to hide away from the Navy
