ES Curtis past year stationed at St. Augustine, Fla. Moved to Mt Vernon, Iowa, Inst of Military Tactics at College. 11 Aug 1876, Lt. Edw. S. Curtis, formerly of this village, and latter a professor in the US Military Academy in Arkasas, has been ordered to the frontier to do battle with the Sioux. We understand he is to command a company of Utes.
