Comments: Otto Seifert (Nee: ) | New York City NY United States | 1901-1920 | Comments: This photo of Otto Seifert appears as frontispiece illustration in the Journal of the New York Entomological Society, vol.XIX, no.1, March 1911. There is a one page obit of him on page 63. Otto was born in Hildesheim, Hanover, German 26 February 1848. He studied as a chemist and druggist and came to America in Feb. 1871. He established himself in New York City and then after retirement moved to Mt. Vernon, NY. He was very interested in entomology and floriculture. He died at Mr. Vernon 20 Oct. 1910, age 63. His collection of Arctiidae was presented to the American Museum. That is all the information I have. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
