Dead Fred's Genealogy Photo Archive, a free, fun photo genealogy research web site devoted to helping you visualize your heritage!

Dear readers,

Please help us keep DeadFred alive. 90% of our expenses are supported by donations averaging $5. Not many visitors contribute. If each visitor reading this right now gave $2, our fundraiser would be done by the time you finish reading this. That's right, the price of a large can of soda would do it.

If DeadFred is helpful to you, please take a moment to help us. We are a very small group of volunteers serving thousands of readers daily with very little outside support. DeadFred is a place to share and discover the faces of your ancestors. The funds we receive go toward maintaining and improving your chances of discovery. Please help us so we can continue to help you.

Thank you,
Joe Bott

Comments: Sylvester Smith (Nee: ) | Ks United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: This is my great grandfather and great grandmother. We know nothing about him except his name was Sylvester Smith. We are interested in making connections with anyone who may recognize the photo or think he may be related to someone they know. When he married my great grandmother, Margaret Elizabeth Loveland he was apparently already married. After the birth of 2 children he was taken away by the county sheriff in Cloud County Kansas for bigamy. Believed that he traveled with a carnival or some type of street vendor. He is believed to have been from MO prior and worked in the logging industry.
