Please see that reference for more details. In 1898 Miss Whitcher (of Lowell, Mass.) broke the female cyclists' half mile record with a speed of 1 minute, 15 seconds. At the time she was 15 years old. That is all the information I have on this picture. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
